Thank You September

Woke up this morning to a very nippy and chilly room.

It was the same outside.

So nippy and chilly in fact that it nipped and chilled my garden into a comma.

I had been watching this large melon grow all summer.

Today I had to pick it.

And it is so good.

Like pay high dollar at the store good.

Better then store though.

So sweet.

So perfect.

Too many seeds but the sweet perfection has made up for those pesky seeds.

So thank you September.

You have cooled off my house and me.

You put an end to my garden.

And you brought us sweet melon.
