Summer Fun to Come

Even the Heavens smiled down on our new camper.

We finally did it.
We have been wanting to do it.
We have been looking so we could do it.
And then we found it.
We thought about it.
We joked about it.
Then I called on it.
Then we drove over the mountain to look at it.
We liked it.
We thought some more.
Then about 4 days later we make another call.
They brought it down.
We gave them a check.
We OWN our first camper!
Here's her Stats: 1979 Nomad
19foot ( I think...I better go measure)
Double Axel
Here's a preview of the inside!
I should have taken some BEFORE pictures but was too excited.
Corey and I just dove in and started working on it.
It really as in great shape before we tore into it but it did need cleaning
and I hate carpet.
I also hate the fake wood look it has going.
I'll be painting it, laying hardwood laminate boards and putting up new bead board.
So far we've only spent about $40 on caulk.
Not sure if we'll get it out this year but its our hope!
Best $1,000 EVER!
Well, I think so anyway!

An Evening with the Girls

Hello Blue Eyes, how you doin?

Girl, you're killin me.

Hot rodin girl.
Cailyns new bike is a little hard to ride,
maybe a couple more inches in her legs will help out.
My latest yard sale treasure though...pretty proud of this one!

T-Ball 2011

Just like her mom!!
Cailyn played T-ball this summer and it took me till the last game to remember to bring my camera!
She had fun but I think she was happy it was over.
Or maybe it was her sore throat during the last game.
Either way, it was way fun to watch the little kids have so much fun!

The Simple Life

Have you ever seen such contentment?
Small pool.
Warm water from a hose.
Little floaty.
Hot sun and flip flops.
Simple perfection according to Cailyn.

She takes a moment to wave to her adoring fans.
She knows she's living the life that most only dream of.
Well most of us parents anyway.
Not gonna lie...it was a pretty good day.
And yes, she really is that tan.

This Never Happens

I only stepped away for 15seconds.

I really thought I had put the bowl on the table too.
She knows what she did.

She doesn't care.
She's got mixed berrys and rice cereal in all the right places.
According to a baby I guess.

She's so proud of herself too.
She finally got some independence.
A little showmanship if you will.

I guess she's about ready to drive then.
Feeding herself at 6 months now.
Driving away to college tomorrow.

Or not.
I think I have a ways to go with this one.
And thats just fine with me.
