8:30am:
Cailyn dressed and ready to go! Dad was still in PJ's and playing darts and mom was getting things packed and getting herself dressed.
9:00am: Left Mona and headed to
Ephraim. If you zoom in you can find the road we took.
We were in the
Manti-La Sal National Forrest. We look Road 29 out of Ephraim into the Canyon and headed toward
Orangeville. Zoom into the
Manti La Sal Forrest.

11:00 am: Still in Ephraim Canyon. We had no idea this is what the road looked like the whole way. But as you can see, its really not THAT bad. In fact, it was the most beautiful drive yet!

12:00pm: Grassy Lake on top of the Ephraim Canyon. We took a detour and found this really small lake that was just beautiful! Corey fished while I fed
Cailyn. He got a few bites in the short time we were there! Some other guys were there fishing as well on the other side.

1:
ish: We are still in Ephraim Canyon but coming down now. We went over two mountain ranges!! This is one of the many reservoirs,
Joes Res. It has its own marina and lodge and we are thinking we may come back and camp next summer!

2:
ish: As we came out of the Canyon, we came upon this!!! Sheep and lots of them! They were moving the sheep around the res. and not going too fast! Along came our Cowboy to rescue us!! Not the one you see but another one came riding up beside us and told us to follow him. Corey was really hesitant at first and soon there was sheep all around us! But the Cowboy kept us moving and the sheep aside! We got around them and were on our way again! Thanks Cowboy!! (I had wished my mom, Patsy was with us because there were Oakley dogs everywhere keeping the sheep from falling over the edge and keeping them moving!)

3:15pm: We stopped in Castle Dale for lunch.
Cailyn decided she was taking over and driving us back home! She is such a trooper!!! Little did we know our adventures were only 1/2 over!

4:00pm: We drove over to the Dinosaur Park were we kinda saw some bones but nothing too interesting. We took our travels toward the petroglyphs. After driving around these amazing rock formations and cliffs we came up on these! They are over 200o years old! You can find these amazing drawings in the
San Rafael Swell near the Wedge Overlook.

At last we were done for the day. Now all we had to do was get our self back home! It took about 2 hours!!! We rolled in to our house at 8:27pm. Almost a 12 hour field trip! We had so much fun and saw so many amazing things! The fall is by far the best time to travel around Utah!! It is also hunting season and all the boys are out with guns and four-wheelers looking for the big buck! It was fun too see deer on the sides of the road and all the
good'ol boys camped out ready to take on nature!! It was raining most of the day but the sun found its way out every time we wanted to get out of the truck. As for today, we are camping out in the house! Its raining now and not looking like its going to let up anytime soon! Hope everyone else is taking time out to really enjoy what they have around them!
